PROJECT UPDATE: Week of March 6, 2017

Work has progressed on the project as we continue the excavation and construction of retaining walls, installation of reclaimed waterline and corresponding structures, installation of drainage structures, and traffic signal and street light conduit and foundation installation.  Excavation of all project retaining walls is scheduled to be complete this week.  Leveling slabs have been poured at three (3) retaining walls, one retaining wall footing has been poured, and we continue to install rebar and form work in preparation for future concrete pours.

Crews will continue construction of the retaining walls, begin grading and base course work at the Hulikoa Intersection, install temporary traffic signals on the existing lanes at the Hulikoa Intersection, and continue installing street light and traffic signal foundation and conduit.  Much of the construction effort will be focused between the Hulikoa intersection and the National Park entrance.

In order to maintain a safe working environment for project personnel and the public, please continue to drive safely through the Construction Work Zone.
