Update July 20, 2015: The field data collection and fencing were completed on 6-16-15 and we are awaiting approval of the field report.
The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) will begin the archaeological data recovery phase of the project on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. At the same time Goodfellow Bros. Inc. will begin installing fencing to protect all historic properties and archaeological sites during construction.
HDOT anticipates starting construction in August to September. HDOT will hold a Public Information Meeting at least thirty days before construction begins so that the public may be fully informed of what to expect and how the project will address community concerns.
Further updates and announcements will be posted on this website in the near future.
